Wood tone guide

Wood tones are colour names, not wood species. Every piece is solid hardwood.

Oak — a light honey tone close to the raw colour of the wood.

Black — our deepest tone. Grain stays visible in raking light.

Walnut — a warm dark brown for a classic, grounded look.

Brown — a rich reddish brown that warms up a room.

Smooth Surface is sanded fine and sealed for an even feel. Natural Rough Surface keeps an open grain you can feel. See our Care Guide for how to look after each one.

Product details

A low coffee table shaped from solid hardwood. It stands on thick, rounded column legs. It suits a living room or a family room and works with sofas of most sizes.

Each piece is cut, carved and sanded by hand from solid hardwood, so the grain, knots and small marks of the tools differ from one to the next.

  • Solid hardwood, no veneer or particleboard
  • Four sizes: 40 to 54 in wide, 22 to 28 in deep, 16 to 17 in high
  • Four wood tones: Oak, Black, Walnut and Brown
  • Made to order, delivered in 18 to 23 days
  • Custom sizes on request
Planning your space

Mark the footprint on the floor with painter's tape before you order and live with it for a day. Leave at least 30 in (76 cm) of walkway in front of consoles and sideboards, and about 18 in (45 cm) between a coffee table and the sofa.

Check the width of doors, stairs and lifts on the way in. Every piece ships with the legs or top packed separately where possible.

Before you order

Solid wood is a natural material. Grain, knots and colour vary from board to board, so your piece will not match the photos exactly. That is what makes it yours.

Wood moves slightly with the seasons. Keep it away from radiators and direct sun, and expect fine changes in colour over the first year.

Our woodworking workshop with a hand-carved branch on the bench
Crafted by

Hai Nguyen

Master wood sculptor

I have worked with wood for more than twenty-five years, and the workshop still has the same rhythm: the sound of a blade in the grain, the smell of fresh shavings, a curve that only appears after hours of slow shaping.

Wood teaches patience. You cannot force a branch into a shape it does not want; you follow the grain, take a little more away and look again.

I want each piece to sit quietly in your home and grow richer with time. Good wood should not only be seen; it should be felt.

Carved by hand

Each curve is shaped and sanded by hand, one piece at a time.

One of a kind

Grain, knots and color differ in every board, so no two pieces match.

Solid hardwood only

No veneer, MDF or resin. The wood goes all the way through.

Really love how it looks on the wall! The only thing is the shelf is a little shallower than I expected. I probably should've gone with a larger size, but overall I'm happy with it
